Kinetics of the Reactions of HCO with HCO and O2

Abstract
The reactions (A) and (168) have been studied at room temperature in an isothermal flow reactor using helium in the pressure range 1 mbar¾p¾5 mbar as carrier gas. The concentrations of HCO, HO2, and OH radicals were measured by laser magnetic resonance. The reaction F+H2CO->HF+HCO served as radical source. The experiments yielded the results shown below. For the conditions used here HO2+CO are found to be the only products formed in the reaction of HCO radicals with O2.
