Relative Rate Constants for O + HCO -> OH + CO and O + HCO -> H + CO2
J. Phys. Chem. 1972, 76, 2215.
Abstract
A simple analysis is given showing how
the measurement of O atoms consumed and CO2 formed in the O + H2CO reaction
system, with [O]>>[H2CO], can be related to the rate constant ratio k(14)/k(13)
for the alternate pathways (13) and
(14). Experimental results in a
fast-flow system at room temperature give the value k(14)/k(13)=0.73±0.15.
