REACTION MECHANISMS
The present reaction table contains reactions
of GRI-Mech 2.11.
The elementary reaction set comprising GRI-Mech
was first
composed from a detailed critical review of the combustion chemistry literature.
All rate coefficient expressions were evaluated considering
the nature of the experiments from which they were derived and
consistency with theoretical expectations.
Eventually 53 rate coefficient expressions were selected,
based on rankings established by detailed sensitivity analyses,
for numerical optimization against a carefully selected set of
experimental targets. At the end of the optimization procedure
four rate coefficients were adjusted from the literature expressions.
You may choose between two viewing option:
- SEARCH FORM
- this offers several options of fast search, but requires a browser
that supports features such as FRAMES and JavaScript; you can use
Netscape 2.0 or later
versions.
- or A Single Table
- this option is slower, but can be viewed with any browser
that supports the html TABLE feature.
Both viewing options will display the reactions that
comprise the current GRI-Mech release,
indicating the reactions whose rate coefficients
served as optimization variables.
Clicking on individual reactions will bring up
literature citations,
comments on the final choice of rate coefficient expression, and
tables giving values of the forward and reverse rate coefficients,
the equilibrium constant, and the
standard entropy and enthalpy changes of reaction at temperatures
from 300 to 3000 K--and at several pressures for pressure-dependent
reactions--computed with
the current GRI-Mech thermodynamic data base.
